Ted Fuentes, a veteran with seven years of dedicated service as an air crew member in the U.S. Air Force, has a distinguished record of achievements and recognitions. After being honorably discharged in 1993, Ted embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, founding the IT consulting firm Alliance Resource Group, Inc., which holds certifications as a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) by the State of California.
A passionate advocate for veteran affairs, Ted has held prominent roles including the Chapter President for the California Disabled Veteran Business Alliance in Orange/Los Angeles Counties, a member of the California Department of Veterans Affairs Advisory Council, and a board member for the National Disabled Veteran Business Alliance. His dedication to veterans’ causes was honored in 2012 when he was named the SBA Veteran Business Champion of the Year for Southern California.
In 2018, Ted founded Veteran Strong USA, a nonprofit committed to improving veterans’ lives through legislative action. His advocacy efforts have led to significant improvements in veteran hiring programs and the adoption of the DVBE program by the Orange County Board of Supervisors, among other legislative successes at both the state and federal levels. Ted’s work has also aided in the recovery of significant funds for disabled veterans through property tax exemptions.
Recently, in 2023, Ted pivoted Veteran Strong USA to focus on mental health services, incorporating Equine-Assisted and Equine Therapy services. He became certified in the Eagala Equine-Assisted Therapy model, underscoring his commitment to supporting veterans through innovative and compassionate care. Ted continues to write and advocate for the veteran community, demonstrating a relentless drive to serve those who have served.
